Zinc Oxide Priming is essential for the longevity of your metal and the key ingredient is zinc. It serves the same function as zinc oxide primer, but has a different chemical composition.
Lots of people make the mistake of painting bare metals with Oxide enamel without priming first. Ideally metal should be shot blasted to remove all rust and scale and then immediately coated in a zinc rich primer.
After 2 good coats of this primer, a final coat of Oxide Enamel provides a hard durable top coat.
